HOW DO I KNOW WHAT LOOKS BEST ON ME?
The most important value of working with us is that we will guide you beyond what you like, and towards what looks best on you.
We get to know you and your needs and then design around your body type and your best features. You don’t have to know exactly what you want or what you should wear.
We are here to help you not only look and feel your best, but also to understand why it works for you!
WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?
Within our day-to-day business, we serve the San Francisco Bay Area stretching from Napa County to Monterey County. We also have options available for clients outside of the Bay Area.
Consultations are 100% complimentary. There is never any obligation or commitment. Consultations are our way of getting to know each other and deciding if the custom experience is right for you.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
We pride ourselves on saying YES to our clients. That means we will do our best to complete your order no matter how much time you have.
Less than one month: We can usually complete an order under tight time restrictions – limited time means there may be a limit the fabrics and details that you have to choose from.
1-3 months: Most orders can always be accepted within this time frame.
6 months – 1 year: For wedding dresses, it is recommended (but not required) that you contact us as much as 6 months to 1 year in advance so that you can stretch out the experience, and we can take our time selecting the perfect fit, fabric, and couture accoutrements.
HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?
We accept all forms of payments including major credit and debit cards.
Once you have selected a design, you will be asked for a 50% deposit. The remainder of your balance will be due upon delivery.
HOW MUCH IT WILL COST?
The cost of your garment has lots of variables, but all you need to decide is what kind of budget you have to work with. The design, fabric, and other variables of your garment will be managed by our team to stay in line with your budget.
Many people assume that couture is out of their price range, but our custom gowns are often competitive with ready to wear options. If you are curious about working with us, but don’t know if the price ranges will work for you, feel free to schedule a phone consultation to talk in more detail.
CAN I HAVE MY FITTING IN MY HOME OR OFFICE?
Our service is designed around you, including our fitting process. Fittings take place in your home, office, or other location in an area that is convenient to you.
We do not have fittings in our San Jose studio, which helps us better serve you by offering in-home appointments while also keeping our prices more affordable.
CAN I ORDER CUSTOM WARDROBE BASICS?
We are best known for our work in evening and wedding gowns, but we also build custom wardrobes. The right fabric, fit, and details guarantee that with a custom made wardrobe, you’ll always have something to wear.
DO YOU DO ALTERATIONS?
Yes, we do alterations and customizations on garments of all types. In-home visits are great opportunities to review your wardrobe and keep all your garments, old and new, in perfect order.
DO YOU DO DRESS RE-DESIGNS?
Yes, we can transform the dress you have into the dress you want!
Whether it’s your own dress that you want to give new life to, or it’s your mother’s dress that you want to modernize…we are SO up to the challenge!
WHAT DOES COUTURE MEAN?
It is our commitment to mastery and attention to detail that makes us true couturiers. We do not simply employ dressmakers…we find and develop unique talents. We seek out great teachers and bring them into our studio. We collect knowledge and love for our craft and we stitch it into every garment.
When we refer to couture, we refer to history in the making, and the great feats of construction and embellishment that will live on for generations to come. (Yes, we’re pretty serious about it!)
DOES IT MATTER WHAT SIZE I AM?
We welcome and dress all shapes and all sizes and we go (way) beyond that…we also design your garment to be flattering, comfortable, and in sync with your personal style. Why would anyone settle for less?
CAN YOU LOOK AT MY PINTEREST BOARD?
We love Pinterest and we encourage all of our clients to use it as a tool for communicating preferences and ideas. We recommend using comments on each pin to specify which element you like. For example, color, shape, feel…anything!
